"Honeydrip"

"Honeydrip"

This original one-of-a-kind artwork is huge at 72" x 34.5" on unstretched canvas.

You want a one of a kind custom painting that will make your wall POP? This is it! I started with a dark yellow base (reminds me of a golden honey) and painted the whole canvas with several coats. Then I dripped, splattered, splashed, and flung gloss black and white and gray paint to create the signature design. The black, white, and gray paint is layered and gives the painting an awesome raised texture. If you like Jackson Pollock's work you will love this affordable and unique painting.

"Estranged"

36" by 24" stretched canvas with sides painted. Dark colors of charcoal gray, black, and bronze are my base with a wash of metallic green and a touch of white. This painting is captivating.

I've started a new series of paintings based on my favorite rock songs. Previously I posted a painting called "Rust Never Sleeps" which is a 1979 album by Neil Young. This painting is called "Estranged" and get it's name from a song on "Use Your Illusion II" by Guns N' Roses. It is an amazing song with powerful lyrics and a heart stopping guitar solo. Listening to this song for a few days straight put an image in my head and from that this painting was born. I hope you enjoy.

In the first pic it looks more bronze but the two below show the green.

"Rust Never Sleeps"

This is a abstract 18" x 24" with a cool raised texture. I was going for a "rusty metal" look like I see on this old barn I pass every day. I think it turned out pretty close. I used a combination of white, black, metallic copper, tan, cocoa brown, taupe, and a small bit of bronze. I love it.
The name comes from the 1979 album by Neil Young that includes "Powderfinger", "Pocahontas", "Hey Hey My My" and more.

The sides are painted to this one is ready to hang without a frame.

"Tradewinds"

This two-tone painting is acrylic on a stretched 18"x24" canvas. I used several colors including brown, burnt sienna, burnt umber, titanium white, and mars black. The color and design is painted from the canvas front over to the sides for a continous flow. That means the painting is ready to go up on the wall with or without a frame.

"Number 31 Redux"

"Number 31 Redux"

This original one-of-a-kind artwork is HUGE at 72" x 38" on unstretched canvas.
When I say HUGE I mean it - the size of a twin mattress!

I started with a large piece of unstretched primed artist canvas. I actually painted on the unprimed side because I liked the rough texture to use as a starting point. The base is several coats of gloss Beige. This is then covered with a gloss Black and White and Barrel Green paint. There are a few small drops of Butter Yellow scattered about as well. The black, white, and green paint is layered and gives the painting an awesome raised texture. The colors and style are similar to Jackson Pollock's famous One (Number 31, 1950).

Details can be seen in the close up view. Pictures do not do it justice it has to be seen to believed. This painting has been a huge hit and I plan on using these colors again.

"Picking Up the Signal"

This original one-of-a-kind artwork is HUGE at 72" x 29" on unstretched canvas.

The background is several coats of gloss Signal Red covered with a gloss Black and White and Gray paint. There are a few small drops of Metallic Red scattered about as well. The black, white, and gray paint is layered and gives the painting an awesome raised texture.

This unique piece is perfect for a home, beach condo, office, or business. Details can be seen in the close up view. Pictures do not do it justice it has to be seen to believed. It's definitely one of the coolest pieces I have painted and my wife has requested that I do another one to put in our living room!
